He was born
on a dairy farm in Minnesota into a long line of dairy farmers
and has owned farms and ranches in Wisconsin, New Mexico, Oregon,
and Oklahoma. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree from the
University of Minnesota at Minneapolis-St. Paul with a major in
Pulp and Paper Technology.
He worked fourteen
years in the Paper and Consumer Products industry for several
Fortune 500 companies as a Manufacturing Manager and Quality
Manager.
Before joining
United Country he worked sixteen years in the Financial Services
industry. Much of that time was spent helping farmers,
ranchers, and business owners achieve their financial goals and
resolve the risk exposures.
Mark has known
about and admired United Country since he was a kid in
Minnesota. He owns a 500 acre
ranch in Osage County,
Oklahoma,
that he found on a United Country website when he still Lived in
Oregon.
He has raised and
trained Tennessee Walking Horses for many years and is an avid
trail rider.
Mark and his wife
Lymy Beth are active members of the Bartlesville Seventh-Day
Adventist Church.Mark
chose to move to Oklahoma for the exceptional land values,
